‘Tis the season to roll up your sleeves and bake off — or in this case bark off — your favorite holiday treats to share! It wouldn’t be the holidays at Williams-Sonoma without our famous Peppermint Bark. When you see it in stores, you know the holidays are right around the corner.
We decided to hold a bark off / brittle off for some friendly competition. Barks and brittles seem so easy to make — just a few ingredients and virtually no baking. Even though not many of us participated, the results were yummy and satisfying with plenty to share. We all won! Here are the delicious barks and brittles we created and shared with everyone on our team:
Cake Batter Bark: white and dark chocolate, dry yellow cake mix and sprinkles
Chubby Hubby Bark: pretzels, macadamia nuts, crushed Heath Bar and bittersweet chocolate
Almond Brittle: sliced almonds blended in a rich caramel flavor
These would make great gifts to give to loved ones, friends, neighbors, and of course, your co-workers. And since they are easy enough to make, you might even make a batch for yourself!
