His pick: OXO Food Scale with 11-lb Capacity

2. An Electric Juicer

3. A Dehydrator

Scott says: “A dehydrator is invaluable. Concentrate flavors for infusions. Dry out the leftovers from the Breville juicer to make a powder. Make gossamer-thin citrus chips to garnish your drinks. Have endless fun making things that will not spoil.”

His pick: Excalibur 9-Tray Digital Controller Dehydrator

4. A Vacuum Sealer

Scott says: “This is serious, we know, but it is the real deal.  If you want to play like the pros, Polyscience is the way to do it.  This machine makes infusions amazing, adds lifespan to everything, and is just really, really cool.”

His pick: Polyscience 300 Series Chamber Vacuum Sealer

5. Smart Thermometer

Scott says: “Precision means consistency, and that is everything. This is a must have for the techie and the purist alike.”
