The first stop on our Fire Smoke & Flavor BBQ tour was Lockhart, Texas. The Williams-Sonoma team joined chefs Michael and Bryan Voltaggio at Smitty’s Market, where it’s all about the meat: brisket, ribs and homemade sausage, cooked on an oak-fired pit and served on butcher paper. Honest food, friendly people — this place is the real deal.
