What’s Your Favorite Summer Pie?

Baking, Cook

When it comes to summer desserts, nothing beats a fresh fruit pie. With the abundance of amazing produce this time of year, keeping the recipe simple is the best way to go.

When peaches are ripe, sweet and juicy, you don’t need to do too much for a knock-your-socks-off dessert. When fresh cherries hit the market, I just can’t resist buying a couple of pounds and tossing them with a little kirsch before piling them in a pie dish. And right now, with all the blackberries and blueberries at my local farmers’ market, I’ve been making galettes (free-form pies), which are fantastic for breakfast with a dollop of yogurt.

Those are some of my favorites, but what are yours? Take our poll below, and let’s see which pie takes the prize.

Check out some of our highest-rated pie recipes at the bottom of the post. If you bake any of them, we’d love to hear your feedback! Send your photos and comments to blog@williams-sonoma.com and we’ll post some of the best ones.
