I alternate! Sometimes I want something with a good beat (usually when I’m preparing a large meal for entertaining) and sometimes I like classical (when I’m cooking for hubby and I) to relax to!

I also love the clear shield to keep messy prints and food off the screen. The speaker is good for music or a tutorial on YouTube or my favorite cooking show. The music played in the kitchen currently is holiday music. It is so much fun to have a variety of holiday music to listen to while preparing a meal. The kids love to sing along while we are working on dinner. In the “off season” the kitchen may have tunes playing that fit the dinner we are having. If the weather is warm, and we are preparing fresh vegetables, fruit and meats to grill, you are sure to hear Jimmy Buffet cooing away in the background and Mom doing her best “Parrothead” dance moves. Other times we may be listening to the 80′s and sharing with our teenagers the songs of our high school and college glory days! Music like good food adds so much to ones life and memories that we associate with each.

I love using my iPad as a virtual cookbook. I listen to pandora while cooking with the channel matching the menu or mood. The best combo is jazz Christmas tunes and cookie baking.

Oh goodness, I LOVE to cook and bake…my poor iPad has had it’s share of messes in the kitchen after running new recipes for our family. This looks like a perfect tool for my kitchen counter! My 5yr son would live this as well; he LOVES to cook with me, asks every night to help! Teaching him now so he can be a master chief for his future wife ;-)
