    I have a silicone spatula/spoonula that is really handy – both for mixing things, folding in ingredients for puddings and mousses, scooping them out and cleaning sides of bowls and pots/pans. Really handy to use during the holidays and I reach for it all the time!

    It is so funny that this is a prize tonight.     I have been buying Williams-Sonoma kitchen wares for 24 years. My first dishes I got as a wedding gift and I still use them and I can still get additional items or replacements for broken items.     The Wisk is my favorite go to tool, in our Kitchen it has many uses, Number 1 is it makes a great microphone , we turn up the music and sing to our kids while we are making dinner to keep them busy, Number 2 the amazing wisk helps us getting in weekend mode and mixes eggs .     My favorite go to kitchen tool is my spatula. I use it for flipping, stirring, baking, scrambling and more. The problem is that I keep buying plastic ones and leaving them on top of my stove while my gas oven is on and they melt!! Stainless would be wonderful because it won’t melt!

    A deep slotted spoon. Who doesn’t use this almost on a daily basis. I don’t whisk everyday, but it’s always nice to have one. Every kitchen needs a good sharp chefs knife and a great spatula. But, think about how often you use a slotted spoon! For me, practically every time I cook.

    Great timing for the new set of kitchen tools!
    A whisk for great egg whites, a pasta spoon to scoop the tasty pasta out of the pot, a spatula to turn perhaps some tasty burgers or pan-fried fish in the pan, a slotted spoon for smaller pasta and a ladle, a kitchen set is not complete without a ladle!
    Of course, I do not have a ladle and I love soup-would be stoked to win the set to match my stainless appliances (small and large)

    Without a doubt, my Chef ‘N VegiChop Vegetable Chopper. Great for chopping everything quickly and not a lot of noise, so if I am cooking and my husband is snoozing (morning, middle of day, evening), he does not hear a thing.     Love the slotted spoon the most – use it to drain everything from vegetable juice, to stew broth to pickle juice (best way to scoop them out!). I’ve also used my slotted spoon to make criss-crosses on peanut butter cookies, drop cherries onto icing on a cake, and to make funny faces to my 10-month old grandson by balancing it on my nose!

    My current favorite go-to kitchen tool is a microplane. Instead of sauteeing diced onions and garlic in olive oil as the base in most of my dishes, I have been microplaning rather than dicing. I’ve found that microplaning opens up the flavor of the onion and galic much more than with dicing, and it’s incorporated into my dishes more evenly and fully. I even microplane fresh garlic in my tea (or in a shot of rum if I have a cough or cold!)

    I absolutely LOVE Williams Sonoma cooks tools! I have so many that I use but I have to say my favorite is the E Z rol garlic peeler. It makes it so easy to peel garlic then mince it with the progressive Alligator garlic chopper. It is so fast and easy and keeps the odors off of your hands!

    My favorite ‘go to’ tool in my kitchen is an old spatula my Dad used in the 1950s. Not sure if it was supposed to be used in the kitchen (he used it as a paper cutting tool at a carbon paper company), but the thin, flexible metal tool allows for easy flipping of all sorts of things and crumbles ground meats into fine bits. Love it!

    My fovorite tool in the kitchen is a (I don’t have a name for it), but it is a stirer, for lack of better word, with a hole thru it. When you stir it moves easily because of the hole. The one have is the only one I have ever seen like it. My husband threw my original one away, and it took me a long time to find another one. I finally found it in Canada.

    I have been married 51 years and know that stainless steel is the best. My boys are wonderful cooks and I could give them my old stuff and use these new ones that seem very sturdy.     My “go to” in my kitchen, is a beautiful olive wood spoon I’ve had for about 10 years. If that old friend should someday break, I fear for my tenuous grip on sanity. Just sayn’.

    My whisk! It is so helpful for several things other than cream. I love using it for scrambled eggs, blending homemade hot chocolate in the pan, blending milk or half n half into tomato soup, etc. So easy to use and clean!

    I have so many favorites that its hard to pick just one. I love my Vitamix, my All Clad Sauté pan and 4Qt Sauce pan. I also love my Soda Stream, my Henkel’s, my ice cream maker, waffle maker, popcorn maker, Capresso Coffee Pot, and my Mandolin but if I had to pick just one, it would definately be my wooden chopping block.
