To celebrate our new Open Kitchen barware collection, we asked Bar Amá in downtown L.A. to whip up some of their signature cocktails and incredible Tex-Mex cuisine. The menu they created highlights the best of two worlds: The fresh, local California produce and the traditions of Tex-Mex, including irresistible queso and good tequilas.
If you’ve ever eaten at a restaurant in downtown L.A., odds are good that Bar Amá’s chef and owner Josef Centeno (above, right) had a hand in it: He owns four restaurants in the neighborhood, and lives just down the block from Bar Amá.
“Downtown L.A. has changed tremendously in the past few years,” Centeno told us. “There are so many new, creative artisans coming down here; it’s a really great place to be right now.”
