At this weekend’s Williams-Sonoma free cooking classes, we’ll be tackling culinary basics, from our adult technique classes on knife skills to our waffle-making classes geared toward kids.
In our adult technique class on Sunday, January 24, we’re going back to the true basics of cooking. Do you know the proper way to hold a knife? What’s the difference between a dice, a chop, and a mince? We’ll also teach you intermediate cuts, such as the chiffonade, the julienne, and more, and we’ll offer complimentary knife sharpening while we’re at it.
On Saturday, January 23 at 10 a.m., we’re calling all Williams-Sonoma Junior Chefs for a waffle-making party! Kids ages 8-13 are welcome to join us to learn how to make waffles suitable for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert.
A few things to note:
- These hour-long classes are FREE and include tastings of prepared dishes.
- Participants enjoy 10% savings on select same-day purchases.
- Available in all stores; class times vary by store location.
- Class sizes are limited so call your local store to register.
