We don’t mean to toot our own horn, but we’re sort of gluten-free specialists over here. A search for “gluten-free” in our stellar food products will turn up nearly 400 yummy options. Craving chocolate croissants or a gorgeous layer cake delivered to your door? We’ve got you. So, too, do we have your back for homemade pancakes hot off the griddle and ten different killer quickbread mixes. (Pumpkin-cinnamon! Lemon! Blueberry! Reach for the stars.)
Then there are those knockout gluten-free recipes. Some of the following might surprise you, but with the right ingredients (such as, of course, Cup4Cup flour), you’re home-free and en route to the cakes, cookies, pastas and pies of your dreams.
1. Fried Chicken

A moment of admiration for fried chicken. This is one of those dishes that, if you’re gluten-sensitive, might have escaped your radar early on. Maybe you didn’t realize folks were dunking it in buttermilk and flour before feeding it to you, and you regretted your actions later. This is the recipe you need and deserve. It features silky Cup4Cup flour, plenty of paprika, buttermilk, garlic and a pinch of cayenne, and is so good you won’t miss the original (or the tummyache).
2. Meyer Lemon Bundt Cake

Some day, we’ll all entertain and attend parties again. When that’s the case, you can set this down with a casual “…and it’s gluten-free!” Meyer lemon bundt cake is exactly as good as it looks. This recipe spotlights our gorgeous bundt box mix, which in turn features seasonal Meyer lemons. If you’d rather do seasonal winter citrus like caramelized blood oranges, that sounds great, too!
3. Hazelnut Thumbprint Cookies

Breaking news (if you didn’t know): Hazelnut flour is gluten-free! Hallelujah. In these hazelnut thumbprint cookies, cookbook author, recipe developer and food stylist Samantha Seneviratne swaps it in for a gluten-free version of a traditional thumbprint that’s arguably even more delicious than the original. That jam filling can be your favorite: raspberry, strawberry, peach or plum.
4. Spicy Cauliflower Pasta

We’re gonna go out on a limb here and say you should just order some Cup4Cup flour. It’s part of the gluten-free cook’s arsenal, especially when it means you can whip up spicy cauliflower pasta without batting an eye. This recipes features roasted cauliflower, which is one of our favorite ways to prepare the vegetable, since it cooks up all golden and caramelized. Lemon, parsley, Parmesan and capers are the finishing notes of your dreams.
5. Skillet Cornbread With Thyme

Cornbread. It’s a food you maybe don’t think about enough unless you live in the American South. Then once you start thinking about it, you can’t stop thinking about it. So if you’ve given up gluten, don’t give this up, too. You can find totally gluten-free cornmeal, and make skillet cornbread with thyme. Pictured is the proper amount of butter to slather on such beauty.
