Williams-Sonoma’s founder Chuck Williams turns 100 today! In honor of this memorable milestone, we asked some of our favorite people in the food world, from bakers to authors to social media influencers, to bake something. What follows are crepe cakes, gilded layer cakes, doughnuts, crumbles, and more — all baked and savored with his life’s purpose in mind: to share with others the pleasure of cooking.
Come back later today to get the recipe for the special cake we baked in his honor. Happy 100, Chuck!

I just checked out the many delicious desserts on this site, baked in honor of your 100th birthday, Chuck. I vote for the caramel brownie ice cream sundae from What’s Gaby Cooking! I remember when we were working on the photography for the W-S catalogs in Dallas, Tx many years ago., and when we would go out to dinner, you would insist on everyone at the table ordering a different dessert, so you would have an opportunity to taste each one. You always liked the ones with chocolate best.
Warmest regards on your special day.

Happy Birthday,Chuck Williams! How I love your store! My home is a petite Williams Sonoma. When I travel to another city, I always find my way to your store and bring home a little (or large) pick me up. When I worked at Williams Sonoma for the holidays,I left my paycheck at the store! What fun.
