Questlove & His Passion For Food
The five-time GRAMMY Award-winning musician has a passion for food and home entertaining. He is known for hosting Food Salons in his New York City home with some of his chef friends, ranging from Dominique Ansel and David Chang to Kwame Onwuachi and Flynn McGarry.
Having published four books, including the James Beard Award-nominated book, somethingtofoodabout: Exploring Creativity with Innovative Chefs, Questlove’s passion for food began at a young age growing up in Philadelphia having dinners at his grandmom’s, typically a four-day affair.
In his most recent food project, he’s joined forces with Williams Sonoma inspired by his long-time love of popcorn. Fun Fact: The song, “Pass the Popcorn” was a single off The Roots’ 1993 album, Organix.
About the Collection
The collection, designed by Questlove himself, includes his namesake popcorn seasonings, an avocado oil popcorn spray, and a limited-edition, one-of-a-kind Glow Bowl to create the ultimate theater popcorn experience at home.
The popcorn seasonings come in three delicious flavors: Truffle Parm Rosemary, Lemon Pepper, and Saturday Morning Cereal. The collection also includes SNEAKIES’ versions, which are portable, tuck-in-your-jacket or purse size seasonings, designed to bring the flavor experience with you to the movies.
The numbered and signed, limited-edition Glow Bowl — designed personally by Questlove — brings together his passion for both popcorn and design. The bowl is a perfect centerpiece for game night, movie night, or date night.
“I wanted to put my own Questovian spin on the popcorn experience: seasonings that make your popcorn come to life and a bowl that your date night can’t live without.” – Questlove
