You could call it the brother- and sisterhood of the traveling pan. Last night saw the end of the first-ever Titanium Tour, a four-month, 10-stop tour across America organized by Williams Sonoma and our friends at Hestan (check out our Instagram Stories for more!). From the Midwest to the Southeast, we featured 10 of our favorite chefs, each of whom performed a live cooking demonstration on Hestan’s new NanoBond™ cookware, with proceeds from the tour going to No Kid Hungry to help fight childhood hunger.
The tour slowly made its way out West, concluding with a final stop in Northern California, where both of the brands call home—and last night, traveling pan returned home to San Francisco and starred in a pasta-making classic with James Beard Award-winning chef Thomas McNaughton of flour + water.
Missed your chance to see the cookware live in action? Take a look at some of the highlights from the tour below.
Where in the World is the Traveling Pan?
The traveling pan—an 11-inch stainless-steel skillet featuring a patented technology that creates more than 2,000 nano-layers of molecular titanium bonded to stainless steel—arrived in New York City wearing a bright orange-hued storm case.
At our Williams Sonoma Columbus Circle store on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, Michael Anthony, the James Beard Award-winning chef of Gramery Tavern, kicked off the tour with a cooking demo, then signed the pan’s storm case and passed it down to Boston…
…where chef (and Williams Sonoma Chefs’ Collective member) Matt Jennings of Townsman filled a room with eager onlookers (and the enticing smell of fresh seafood) at Williams Sonoma Natick. He then hot potatoed it to…
…Philadelphia, where chef Brad Spence of Vetri whipped up a bright-red chili pappardelle pasta, as well as this incredible-looking creation at the Williams Sonoma King of Prussia store. After guests had eaten all the pasta, the case (which was quickly racking up signatures and fans!) went to…
…Georgia, where Atlanta chef Hugh Acheson of the restaurant Empire State South showed a happy crowd how to baste duck. “It’s kind of like a hot butter massage,” he explained. From there, the traveling pan made its way to…
…The Volunteer State, where chef Matt Bolus of The 404 Kitchen in Nashville showed tasters the best way to pan-fry fish so the skin won’t stick, as well as an easy technique for crispy potatoes. He served the crispy-skinned local trout with potatoes, beurre blanc, and chow chow.
The traveling pan, now Midwest-bound, sauntered over to Williams Sonoma Edina in Minneapolis, where chef Jorge Guzman of Surly Brewing Co. and Brewer’s Table looked pretty darn in love with his date for the night. But the pan was not destined to live in the North. After that night, it made its way south to…
…Texas, where Houston’s unofficial mayor, chef Chris Shepherd of Underbelly and One Fifth, showed a crowd how to make his famous Korean braised goat and dumplings. But the pan was not to be a Texan, because after that, it took off to…
…the Pacific Northwest. In Seattle, Renee Erickson, of the famed restaurant The Walrus and the Carpenter, seared scallops with summer squash and basil oil for hungry onlookers. Then it took off to SoCal…
…more specifically, Beverly Hills, where Williams Sonoma Chefs’ Collective member Kris Yenbamroong, of L.A.’s Night + Market, made one of our all-time favorites, fried rice (scroll below for even more footage!). And FINALLY…
…the pan headed home to Williams Sonoma Union Square in San Francisco, where last night chef Thomas McNaughton of the famed restaurant flour + water made agnolotti dal plin with smoked ricotta and chanterelle mushrooms for the whole crowd.
The case, with its 10 signatures, is now headed to an auction where it will be sold to benefit No Kid Hungry and help end childhood hunger. Stay tuned for auction details, and check out a video recap of the entire tour below.

I think one of the best options is to just save yourself from planning a trip and book a private tour. Not only will you not spend time and effort to find good places, but they will also organize everything specially for you and only for you!
