Our team developed our new Wellness collection of all-natural sauces, soups and seasonings to help you create delicious, nutritious meals in minutes. We know there are many different paths to wellness, so we wanted to draw on all aspects of a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
Our Food Development team started by exploring what wellness means to us at Williams-Sonoma: a balance of nutrition and enjoyment, with minimally processed foods featuring fresh, whole ingredients. Our wellness products are vegetarian and naturally gluten-free; low in cholesterol, fat and sodium; and high in nutritional value.
We also approached the collection the same way you would home cooking. If you were going to make a healthy dinner at home from scratch, you’d start with fresh, seasonal vegetables. We chose to use produce that scored highly in the aggregate nutrient density index (ANDI) — such as kale, red peppers and artichokes — and crafted healthy recipes to showcase them.
That means that first, we were guided by flavor. From the basic vegetables, beans and legumes, we began to build distinct flavor profiles — which isn’t easy without salt or fat! Instead, the team relied on spices and vinegars. We wanted to create sauces and seasonings that could be used with meat, poultry, seafood and vegetables for ultimate versatility. See more cooking and serving ideas here.
Each of our wellness products is hand-crafted in small batches to maintain the best flavor and consistency. Sauces are chunky with ingredients like mushrooms and chickpeas to create hearty, satisfying meals. We have always been passionate about high-quality, wholesome foods and natural ingredients — our latest collection is our gold standard for healthy eating. We hope you enjoy!

[…] Behind the Scenes: Williams-Sonoma Wellness Collection […]
We need NON genetically and chemically engineered gourmet foods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is the manufacturing/development process of the W-S products (wellness, sauces, spices)? Is it manufactured in house, contracted etc? What city/manufacturer is it made?
Hi Fukumo, we have a team of dedicated food development specialists who work with a network of manufacturers in various cities across the country to bring our WS branded product to life.
Pam, while we take care to source the highest quality ingredients for our products, this collection was not designed to be GMO-free.
Then clearly they are not the highest quality ingredients. The highest quality ingredients would be GMO free and Organic.
Is this new wellness line of foods GMO free?
Hi Virginia, yes, some of these sauces do contain sweeteners. I would suggest looking at the individual products and using the tabs on the right-hand side of the page to view the full ingredient lists. You can see all of the products here:

Do these sauces contain sugars or other sweeteners?
Hi Greg, while we take care to source the highest quality ingredients for our products, this collection was not designed to be GMO-free.
I’m really glad to see these products make it to the shelves. I only wish the company had rolled these out prior to my departure last fall. One suggestion: please provide the nutritionals on the website so consumers have better knowledge of the products (other companies do this out of courtesy as well as pride).
Are all your Wellness products non GMO?
