A sit-down Easter dinner with family and friends is a special time and a cause for celebration — it doesn’t have to be formal or time-consuming. Read on for a few Easter entertaining tips that will add a personal touch to your occasion.
Flowers, candles, cloth napkins and festive place card holders are small details that reflect the feeling of sharing a family meal, and they are easy to incorporate into your table.
For family-style entertaining, set the table the night before or early in the day so you can spend more time with loved ones. Lay out the platters and serving utensils, and place water pitchers or extra platters of “seconds” and wine on the sideboard. You can also place the desserts there so they are ready to serve when the time comes.
Keep decor simple. Invest in a colorful Easter centerpiece, or use colored eggs arranged on a footed bowl to create a festive atmosphere.
