Los Angeles bar and restaurant Corkbar was just named the Best Wine Bar of Downtown for the third year in a row by the Los Angeles Downtown News, an award voted on by residents.
The restaurant, which has been open two and a half years, offers over 70 wines by the glass, in addition to a farmers’ market fresh food menu. Co-owner Caleb Wines (seriously, that’s his name) and his partners offer a large range of many of the most important, interesting and, of course, delicious California wines available. Their downtown LA space is sleek and beautiful, and the food is every bit as inspired as the wines.
Recently, Caleb and I sat down just outside of Santa Barbara to discuss wine, food trends, the bar and the fun of it all.
