Walk into a Williams Sonoma store during the winter months and you’re met with the soothing aroma of citrus and spice. The wonderful fragrance of rosemary, lemon, vanilla and peppercorns comes from our signature simmer pot.
A simmer pot is easy to accomplish in your own home. Set a Dutch oven filled with water on the stovetop, toss in a few sprigs of fresh rosemary, sliced lemon, a dash of vanilla, and a spoonful of peppercorns. As the ingredients warm slowly on the stove, they release a combination of fragrances that may remind you of a soothing cup of tea or hot, lemon-scented custard. Now, when people walk into your home, you’ll get the “Ahhh, it smells so good in here” you know and love in our stores.

Has anyone ever tried this with essential oils and a diffuser??
Interesting idea! The simmer pot works as a type of diffuser. We also carry a variety of scent diffusers for your home to try: https://www.williams-sonoma.com/shop/homekeeping/candles-fragrance/.
Going to try these soon!
