Don’t be shy when it comes to garnishing this cocktail classic. Follow the lead of Spanish bartenders, who traditionally load on flowers, herbs and spices to heighten the botanicals in the gin.
Spanish Gin and Tonic
Ingredients
- 4 oz. (125 ml) tonic water
- 2 oz. (60 ml) gin
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Juniper berries, grapefruit slice, lemon twist, edible flowers, and/or fresh rosemary for garnish
Directions
1. Fill a rocks glass with ice. Add the tonic, gin and Angostura bitters and stir to combine. Garnish with juniper berries, grapefruit slice, lemon twist, edible flowers, and/or fresh herbs. Serves 1.
