We love wraps for an easy, kid-friendly lunch — and here’s a way to make them even better. Create colorful spirals by slicing a wrap crosswise, then thread them on skewers or toothpicks to help them hold their shapes (snip off the pointy tips for safety).
Not only do pinwheels make a fun presentation for school-aged kids, they’re also a great way to mix and match. Assemble a couple of different wraps, slicing them into pinwheels and alternating varieties on the skewer. Tons of different flavors and nutrients — and no more lunch box boredom!
 Smoked Salmon & Cucumber
In a small bowl, mix together about 2 Tbs. softened cream cheese and some chopped fresh herbs. Spread the herbed cream cheese evenly over a flour tortilla or lavash sheet. Cover with a layer of thinly sliced smoked salmon.
Draw a vegetable peeler along a peeled cucumber to create 6 thin slices. Arrange the slices over the salmon. Roll up the tortilla into a tight cylinder. Trim the ends and then cut the cylinder crosswise into slices.

 Salami & Brie
Preheat an oven to 350°F. Place a flour tortilla on a baking sheet and dot it with small pieces of Brie. Bake until the cheese melts, about 5 minutes.
Spread the melted cheese in an even layer and cover the cheese with a layer of salami slices. Roll up the tortilla into a tight cylinder. Trim the ends and then cut the cylinder crosswise into slices. For a meatless wrap, substitute olive tapenade for the salami.

 Turkey, Cheese & Salsa
Preheat an oven to 350°F. Place a flour tortilla on a baking sheet and sprinkle shredded Monterey jack cheese over the top. Bake until the cheese melts, about 5 minutes.
Arrange turkey slices over the cheese and top with a few spoonfuls of salsa and/or mashed avocado. Roll up the tortilla into a tight cylinder. Trim the ends and then cut the cylinder crosswise into slices.

 Ham & Cheese
Spread a flour tortilla with a thin layer of mayo, followed by a thin layer of grainy mustard. Add a layer of sliced ham and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
Transfer to a baking sheet and bake at 350°F to melt the cheese, if you like. Roll up the tortilla into a tight cylinder. Trim the ends and then cut the cylinder crosswise into slices.
