Self-described farmer, eater, and lover Andrea Bemis owns Tumbleweed Farm in Oregon with her husband, Taylor. Being a farmer sparked Andrea’s passion for eating (and cooking) healthy, fresh food, so much so that it inspired her to write the cookbook, Dishing Up the Dirt, which features dozens of whole-food recipes along with beautiful photographs.
These days, Andrea spends her days farming and cooking in between, while writing and taking photographs in her “off” time. She gets her dose of inspiration from these five Instagrammers, ranging from fellow farmers to a female wild-game hunter.

@fivemarysfarms is so fun to follow because it’s a family-run farm that produces great meat. They even own a burger house and bar where they dish up their meat and whip up tasty cocktails.

@wildandwhole is a badass lady who hunts wild game and birds and then creates some of the best looking recipes I’ve ever seen. It’s really inspiring to see a female hunter teach us a thing or two about hunting and preparing these often times more exotic animals.
