Thank you for your wonderful recipes. I am age 61, 5’4″ and weigh 217lbs. and am very interested in beginning a full juicing routine only for maybe up to 100 days. Would like to lose 70 to 80 lbs. I have both one of the older Jack LaLanne juicers and the Health Master Emulsifier but have never juiced before. First, are these considered good machines and when do you use the emulsifier verse the juicer or do I need something entirely different from these? Also, I have never really liked juices and especially green drinks, so is there a way to aquire these tastes? I don’t like water but drink lots of zero cokes primarily and sweet tea so adjusting to this will not be easy. My diet has consisted primarily of sweets and meats which is the worlds worst diet. Is it likely or even possible for someone my age to make the changes? Will you help me? I don’t plan to start seriously until September 16th. Thank you!

Hi Jeniffer, the recipes listed here are not meant to be a full cleanse or meal replacement program. To start one of those, you should consult your doctor. Our recipes are meant to help you consume more nutritious fruits and vegetables, beginning with sweeter, fruitier juices and ending with all-green juices packed with nutrients.
That said, these can be consumed any time of day, however works best for you. Some people like to drink the juices in addition to 3 balanced meals, while others use them to replace a meal. They are not designed to replace your normal meals or to be used as a cleanse. You can drink the juices any time of day as a supplement to your normal meals, as breakfast, or however you like. Hi Stacy, we haven’t tested the recipes with that juicer, but it should work similarly (depending on the model you have). Best of luck!
Hi Tim, our 30 recipes are designed to help you consume more nutrients from fruits and vegetables — starting with sweeter ingredients and slowly adopting earthier, nutrient-dense ones. They are not designed to replace your normal meals or to be used as a cleanse. You can drink the juices any time of day as a supplement to your normal meals, as breakfast, or however you like. They should simply be incorporated into your diet for more nutritional benefits. Best of luck with your juicing!
Suhas,
You can definitely use the Breville BBL605XL for juicing! Juicing in a blender is called whole food juicing because there is no pulp extraction — everything you put into the jar stays in the jar. For this reason, you’ll want to prep your fruits and vegetables a little more first. Make sure you remove thicker peels and take out hard pits and seeds.
Depending on the water content of the fruit and vegetable ingredients you use, you’ll probably end up with a more smoothie-like texture when you do whole food juicing, but it’s very easy to filter the pulp if you’re looking for a smoother juice. Simply strain using a fine sieve, cheesecloth, or a nut milk bag to get a pulp-free result. Happy juicing!
Hi Mary, we do not carry the Nutribullet, but if you do use it to create these recipes, you will probably want to reduce the quantities.
Hi, Thanks for posting these.. Can I use Breville BBL605XL Blender for these recipes? OR has anyone tried these with the Breville BBL605XL Blender?
Thanks again

Louise, our 30 recipes are designed to help you consume more nutrients from fruits and vegetables — starting with sweeter ingredients and slowly adopting earthier, nutrient-dense ones. They are not designed to replace your normal meal routine or to be used as a cleanse. Each juice serves one person (volume can vary based on the size of the ingredients juiced).
That said, they’re all delicious and nutritious, so we hope you enjoy! You can drink the juices any time of day as a supplement to your normal meals, as breakfast, or however you like. They should simply be incorporated into your diet for more nutritional benefits. Best of luck with your juicing!

Hello,
I am a diabetic-2, and wondered how safe is this juicing for me?
My A1c at this time is 12.2 My sugar is out of control, I have to be very careful what I eat at all times, I also am morbidly obese. For my 5′ 1″ frame, Iam 200 lbs.
Can someone knowlegable answer this for me, is this juicing safe for me to do?
Thank You
Be very careful initiating a juice fast if you areType 2 diabetic. The fruit juices in excess can bring your glucose levels to the moon. Seek out professional dietetic help.
I read the book: “The Schwarzbein Principle”, eating 15 gram carbs *only* per meal & 7 grams carbs per snack twice a day (along with plenty of veggies and healthy proteins that she spells out). My HgbAIC was 14.4 (and I had a stroke at that time) After following Schwarzbein, I lost 40+ pounds in six months, my last HbgAIC was 4.2. I kept off the weight.
I needed to change my diet completely: no alcohol, no sugar, no soda–even diet soda, minimal starches *rare slice of Ezekiel Bread*, no chips, snack crackers or ice cream. I took a health supplement at the beginning (had banaba root extract and gymnema sylvestre in it) to help with sugar cravings the first six weeks. Important to remove all the harmful foods out of the house. Husband joined me. You can do it! My life depended upon these changes. Blessings to you Sugar Bear…and change your name to Grizzly Bear. Get emotional counseling to determine why you are killing yourself with food. Peace.

Am I going to have the same juice 3 meals a day ?
For the 30 Days of Juicing, do you drink the drink of the day for all three meals or does it count as one meal and you eat the rest of your meals as you normally would?
Hi Ebele, we recommend combining sweeter fruits with earthier vegetables for great-tasting, nutritious combinations. Use the recipes listed here, and simply omit the fruits or vegetables you cannot find. Also, be creative! Try a variety of combinations to find out what you like best. All of the fruits you mentioned are wonderful for juicing. For the vegetables, we’ve had great results with carrots, peppers, cucumber, ginger and tomatoes. Good luck!
Hi Raven, we recommend starting with sweeter fruit juices, like berries, apples, pears and tropical fruits. From there, you can start incorporating sweeter vegetables, such as carrots and beets. The order of the recipes listed here is intended to help you transition from sweet-flavored juices to earthy, nutritious green ones. Good luck!
Hi fail, stanphney, and shiantelle, the recipes listed here are not meant to be a full cleanse or meal replacement program.
To learn more about full juice cleanses, see this post: https://blog.williams-sonoma.com/pressed-juicerys-carly-brien-on-cleansing/

Pineapple, watermelon, apple, orange, lime, lemon, grapes, grapefruit, papaya,
List of vegetable:
Cabbage, carrot, green pepper, green beans, peas, lotus, cucumber, ginger, tomatoes,
I appreciate if you can do this for, even if I have pay.
Thanks
Ebele
I want to do this, but no juicer yet. I am looking to buy one but because I am new to it I don’t want to spend a lot of money on one. At the same time I want it to work. I am concerned that I won’t stick with it if it doesn’t work or is hard to clean, but I don’t really like too many veggies and hope I won’t dislike the veggie juices. Thinking of starting with mixes and some veggies I like. Any suggestions on a good starter juicer?
I got my juicer at lowes for 60.00 including a one year warranty and it works great.easy to clean
I got a juicer for Christmas so I’m trying this out for the New Year! Very excited!
How often do you drink the juice?
I am on Day 1 of Juicing. I’m looking for all kinds of juicing recipes, but mainly low sugar ones. I have Diabetes and I need to lose a minimum of 70 lbs. I juiced an apple and realized it was way to sweet for me, but my kids loved it. I ended up using 2oz of it with 4oz of carrot juice. Then sent half of a bag of 9oz spinach, a cup of strawberries and 6 cups of water through the Blendtec. I know a lot of people think they will be starving on a juice diet, but after day 3 on any diet, you adjust. After that you wont be starving, but you will smell food and you will want food just because it smells delicious. Anyway back to my point. Do you have a list for Diabetics? I cannot wait to see how long I can last on this diet. I may still incorporate whole veggies for dinner.

Great recipes here, I’m definitely going to try some. I was just thinking with winter coming, it’s a great time to start juicing, or start a juice fast. With many people prone to seasonal depression, or plain slumps in the winter, juicing can certainly help. It’s often due to a lack of sunlight because people stay indoors during the cold months. Also high levels of vitamin C in the juice could help to combat colds!
For those if you who are concerned about losing the fiber from the veggies and fruits when using a juicer, I had the same concerns. I ended up purchasing an Omega Vert to address that. They are more expensive but they have 2 different juicing baskets where one lets more pulp thru and one is less. I usually use the larger one because I juice with a lot of citrus (I like a lot of pulp) and I want to make sure I’m getting the fiber bonus. Between that and the fact that I had a coupon, it made the extra $ worth it. I had been blending in my magic bullet but I couldn’t get over the froth with the extreme amount of pulp in it that separated from the juice.

I don’t know if anyone mentioned this already or not, but if you want to get all of the premium phyto-nutrients from the fruits and veggies DO NOT peel and core anything, unless the food is very hard…and even then you really do not need to unless you think your juicer will peeter out. For example the vitamin bromelain is only found in the skin and core of the pineapple and to peel and core will take the essential nutrients you want from juicing. HAPPY JUICING!
I just began juicing a few days ago since watching the movie, “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead”. A great program I have started following is the Reboot Your Life(where most of these recipes are from), I have loved every juice so far, and each juice makes between 16 and 20oz. I have skipped the meals and drink 4 juices a day, making the more sugary ones(mostly or all fruit) in the morning. In 5 days I have lost 3 pounds, and never fell hungry. This is a great way to just get in some extra fruit and veges too.

Megan, this program is a good way to slowly incorporate more produce into your diet, but it’s not meant to be a specific meal or nutrition plan. You can substitute the daily juice for a light meal, or you may drink it as a snack to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your routine. In other words, you can supplement both with other juices and with full meals.
That’s a really great post and 30 day program for boosting health. I will try this. Thanks for share this.
About to start 30 days of juicing. There is one juice recipe listed per day. Do you drink the same juice all day or supplement with other juices? Thanks.
I just ordered my juicer, but doesn’t juicing remove all the fiber we need from the veggies? I would like to do a 10-day reboot but am concerned that the juicing removes all the fiber from the veggies…
I bought a Vitamix and do not want to purchase a juicer as well. How will blending the whole fruit/vegetable affect these juices? Any suggestions?
I bought a vitamix ,can I use it instead of juicer?
Is this suppose to replace one meal a day?
Hi Dinah, you can use your Vitamix to make “whole-food juices.” Whole-food juices are the combination of the juice and the fiber from whole fruits and vegetables prepared in the Vitamix machine. You can make extracted juice in the Vitamix machine by straining the whole-food juice through a filtration bag or fine mesh strainer.
As for the recipes listed here, they are meant to help you incorporate more produce into your diet — but not to be a specific meal or nutrition plan.

Best thing I have ever done for myself. I follow no way of juicing except my own path. It’s easy and delicious and I have more energy then I know what to do with. My mind is clear, my mood is upbeat, I am glowing!
This is not a 30 or 60 day program for my – I will incorporate the juice forever…..

Alex, yes, you do juice the beets raw — and you don’t need to peel them before juicing. Just make sure they’re washed well!
So is this just for breakfast, or is this all you eat on that particular day? Or do you just eat this as a substitue for a certain meal? Not sure I follow!
Love these recipes. Thanks! For juicing beets, do you juice them raw? I assume you peel them first before putting through the juicer? thanks!
Hi, Alex,
I just wash them! Some of the best nutrients in root vegetables is right under the skin, so why peel and throw it away? I use everything … beets and greens — not necessarily in the same batch. Organic, unpeeled carrots and sweet potatoes. I even read that you can juice the greens of strawberries — organic, of course, since strawberries (and apples) are at the top of the list for heavy coatings of pesticides. If you are trying to detox, you don’t need to have pesticides in your food!
Hi, we have juicer but I have to be careful that I don’t mix high calorie / high sugar juices. I would love the nutritional values on these recipes. Thanks.
I am a diabetic what is a good juice recipe that is healthy for me.? Also I have very bad acne, what will b good for my skin?
Just be frugal with the sweet vegetables: carrots, beets to name a few, they contain sugars. Also be mindful of the fruits you add, fruit contains “fructose” which is another form of glucose(sugar).
As for your skin after 30 days of juicing you should notice a healthy glow on your face; now for the acne problem I am afraid I don’t know if it would help, however, as your body detoxifies, it is reasonable to assume that any inflammatory processes affecting your organism will improve. As for myself, I had acne ever since I was a teenager, got rid of it when I turned 20 ;(
Hello y’all @ Williams Sanoma! I’ve had my juicer for 39 years! I’m juicing daily again-
Thanks for the encouragement & sharing of great juice recipes –
One of my favorite refreshing juices is to press all of the following through my Champion Juicer: 4 (washed, whole) lemons (I love Myers), 8 crisp green apples (Granny Smith or Pippin), ice,
a few sprigs of parsley. The crisp apple, with the lemon juice and zest, ice (pressed through the juicer) & parsley. REFRESHING! I make Ojai Jalapeño Jelly & Ojai Habanero Jelly in California

I’ll be contacting you about retailing my amazing Pepper Jellies!!!

Grandpam, try one of these juicers, both of which are powerful enough to juice wheatgrass:
Breville Dual-Disc Juice Extractor: https://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/6926174/
Hurom Slow Juicer: https://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/3362944/
Which juicers do you carry that will juice wheatgrass as well as fruits and veggies? I am interested in getting such a juicer.
would love to join

I lost 70 pounds through juicing and kept it off.
I was thrilled to walk into your San Francisco store and see the juicer display! It is a shame there was nobody making juices for the public to taste!
For those of you who are interested in juicing, I wrote a free starter guide on my site runningonjuice.com
Keep On Juicing!
can you please check the Joe Cross videos. When you hit “play” on each of the videos, it plays the same welcome video. None of them are the recipe videos.

I am ready to seriously start a 30 day re-boot program Joe. And a life change. I have juiced before 20+ years ago when I learned from a homeopath midwife. I now am 5’6″ , 365 lbs. and 53, built like a linebacker from years of working like a man and now alone,(I love my life now) But! I transformed my house into my personal gym, and have a couple of juicer and the “know how”, I need to be involved in your charts, recipies, comments, and insperations. And any help I get. I would love to send you pictures of my progress as my personal reward, I am modest about photos, so don’t worry abouut me being a nut. I live pretty isolated, and need association and insperation to keep it up, about what I feel isn’t a waist of my money, juicing and excersizing. I it easier for me to do something for others than myself, so become my ,”someone who cares.” I will ask GOD to supply the Will. But think of me out there and I hope to meet you some day, you JOE, and Cris Powell are my insperation. I know I can loose a couple hundred pounds and still be 165. So, hey, it isn’t like I expect to be twiggy, just the old Peggy. I was an amazing athlet in my twenties 130 lbs., worked hard@ 30 as a Mining Driller at 250lbs, and skipped up to my 50’s as a feller of trees, yes a “Faller”, and have good muscel memory and good health, no pills, not even vitamens, I have a knee replacement that ended my career, but I need not to work to support my self now and have the time at 53 adn a blooming 365 lbs. I have healed good and love my knee replacement, I can “boot-camp” myself disaplined. I also love living and am willing to put all my focus into.. ME! I don’t need people, they are a lot of work, I only say this so you can get a feel for my family commentments. NO husband, and no intention of allowing another one in. 23 years of marriage was enought for me. I have good kids and grandkids and they all live far away. So I am ALLOWED to focus on ME for once in my life. I NEED to re-boot, my life, staying alive depends on it. It is the last day of 2012 today. I hope by spring I am back walking a mile or two as a daily reutine just for starters. for now, I bought home equipment, a recumber bike,( top of the line from Cosco,) for $1,000.00, wish I had access to a stair stepper to buy, I noticed trying these out in a gym, and they do not hurt my joint after long work outs, But just putting this out there, I feel like I am writting to Santa, and I don’t even celebrate holidays, my life is lived in the deep woods, I come to town weekdays to use a computer even. Ha Ha. Well any help sent my way is comsidered a blessing, I will keep track of my progress to share my story with others who would like to get healthy, after my story is built, and using your help from HOW TO NOT, Be Fat, sick, and nearly Dead. Again I hoe to take a walk with Joe some day, and meet Cris. Without being on TV. Sincerly Ms.Peggy
Hi Peggy,
just read your story and was very inspired to go on my own journey of well being, just not quite there yet. I wish you much success in your journey..God Bless You
Hello Peggy, I have just read your blog and I am in awe of the life you lead, I was wondering how you have progressed with the juicing as it July 2013 now as i write this (6 months after your blog)
i am about to start a joicing diet with my hubby. i am 6 stone overweight at the moment and feel this may be my only chance to change that. Two serious attempts at weightloss have removed the excessive bulk and weight – but it has come back with a vengence to the extent i am scared to try again unless it comes with a complete lifestyle change. (knowing what to do and actually doing it are two different things).
i was wondering how yoo have gone on with your joicing.
hope to hear from you soon
Jo
Hello, I’ve just recently watched a documentary on Netflix about a 60-day juice fast, then diet and exercise. This man lost an incredible amount of weight in a very health way. Wishing you success in your journey.
Hi! they all look tastey but high in sugars . will there be any nutritional values listed ?
I like to switch up my juices where I will only make ones with mostly fruit once or twice a week. Mainly juice veggies, especially greens. 🙂
Marisol, yes, you may substitute one juice for a light meal, or you may drink it as a snack to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your daily diet. Enjoy!
so like do we eat at all or is this just like at lunch or something? or like a snack? if you can email me the answer that’s awesome cause i googled and found this page haha thanks 😀 i just got a juicer for mothers day i’m trying to loose my baby weight and i thought juicing would be a great help i just don’t know how to go about it 🙂
Jaimie, thanks for your note. We’ve updated the post to include the serving size, which is about 1 large glass.
Are we supposed to substitute one meal for these juices?
[…] 30 Days of Juicing […]
I’m wanting to start this tomorrow, by the looks of the recipies I was wondering how much juice one recipe makes? Looks like it could make a few glasses but I’m the only one in my family who will drink them and I would hate to waste that much fruit and veggies if it made a whole container.
THE ARTICLE ABOVE SAYS IT MAKES ONE SERVING?
Don’t waste it, drink it all! You’ll be hungry, so you need to drink all of it!
You videos on the website for juicing are all the same. Thought you might want to know.

Juicy New Year..
Thank you so much Williams-Sonoma for taking the time to care enough about the public to post these juice recipes. Since you did all the hard work of getting 30 days of juices together, I will do the work of at least finding out the nutritional values and learning how to tweek the juices that may be a little too sugary for me. Please keep up the great work, I greatly appreciate it!
i was not able to see if the idea of posting nutritional values became reality. im hoping you might post or send to me. tahoechelle@yahoo.com
Hi there,
once you have worked them out it would be great if you could send me the nutricious value of the above juices. Would be much appreciated!!! Thank you!
I would love to know the amount of sugar grams in each juice if you were able to find out. I’m trying to keep my diet to 15 grams of sugar/day, so that’s really important to me. Thanks for any information you may have!
Hi friends – I have been using a juice nutrition calculator to figure this. Try here: http://juicerecipes.com/build/
stay UNDER 9 grams of sugar for a healthy weight loss and some fruits do have sugars, just limit their intake and put more greens in your juicer- mango is wonderful, portion size means a lot and what your weight says is how many calories you want to be at, I am 5’6′ and 140 I do 800 – 1000 daily , sometimes less … I do eat what I want only in small portions and fiber snacks are great.. hope this helps
I can’t find you on Facebook
I would love to join the 30 juice could you send me more details please?
