OK, Halloween is almost here, and you. Are. On it. This is your holiday. You’ve got all your candy ready to roll. You’ve got your black and copper wine glasses, your cauldron serving bowl, your skeleton apron and your skull Old Fashioneds (with skull ice, natch) ready.
Great work. But what about cakes, cupcakes, cookies and candied apples? Care to take a gander at our creepiest offerings? And what about your loved ones? Don’t they deserve a haunted house kit delivered to their door? Here you go.
1. Haunted Houses
Why should the winter holidays have all the DIY house fun? Build your own tiny, delicious haunted house this year. (Just look at those “bone candies”!) And if you’re a gingerbread fanatic, don’t worry, we’ve got the house for that, too.
2. Caramel Apples
Sure, sure, you can make your own caramel apples. (And we’ve got the delightful, just-add-apples kit for that!) But you could also go super-creepy, with ghosts and ghouls. Or pumpkin patch-y (which somehow looks elegant). We’ve just got a plethora of caramel apple options, so get ready to dip.
3. Ready-to-Eat Cookies
Nothing like sending a bunch of pale-green witches’ fingers in the mail to show someone you care. We’ve got all sorts of creeptastic freshly baked Halloween cookies. There are traditional bats and pumpkins, giant personalized pumpkin cookies, and incredible French macarons, among so many marvelous others.
4. DIY Cookies
Got a crafty kid? (Or are you the crafty kid?) They’ll delight in these edible, paint-your-own cookies. Traditionalists requiring glitter might prefer these bats and pumpkin cookies. For those who want to do the minimum of work but still have cookies emerge hot from their own oven, we suggest these party-ready slice-and-bake beauties. (And this cookie stamp set is just the best.)
5. Cake Pops and Cupcakes
Ooooo! Sometimes we just want a little bit of cake. Or to deliver a little bit of cake to some kids or adults we love. These cake pops are a do-nothing daydream for you to bring to daycares, preschools, parties and family hangouts. We’ve also got three sets of fabulous Halloween cupcakes for you to select among. There are the artsy spiders and zombies, ghastly, deftly flavored Georgetown cupcakes, and elegant floral Halloween palette cupcakes from We Take the Cake.
6. Cakes
Bow, howdy, do we have Halloween cakes. (Just look at that bewitching black cat cake!!) Whether you want a sneering Jack O’Lantern, a dramatic bat cake, a ghost-topped red velvet number or an absolutely mind-boggling pumpkin-shaped confection, we’ve got the cake for you.
7. Skull-Shaped Ice Cream
Someone, somewhere just paused The Cure’s Disintegration album to breathe a happy sigh about these beauties. They’re ice cream skulls, and just as magical and macabre as they sound. An East Coast confectioner makes them in-house, using local cream and eggs, premium chocolate and natural vanilla. Open the box, perhaps as a cloud of dry ice envelops you, and serve the treats bone-chillingly cold. Oh, Halloween, you’re just the worst (i.e. the best).
Get Your Halloween On, Ghouls.
