Not to toot our own horn, but our peppermint bark is hot stuff. To celebrate a quarter century of our peppermint bark, this year is especially sweet as we welcome the first annual Peppermint Bark Day today and, tonight, celebrate with the third annual Peppermint Bark Off.
Nostalgic yet timeless with layers of textures (crunchy, creamy, oh my) and flavors (dark and white chocolate, and peppermint) it makes a great gift. We promise not to judge you if you gift it to . . . yourself. Though our peppermint bark is highly snackable on its own (some might say it’s downright addictive), it has also inspired some pretty fun creations.
When we’re looking for inspiration, we tune in to the genius recipes shared by the pro bakers participating in our Bark Offs and love to check out what our Instagram fans (they’re the best!) have dreamed up. From a peppermint bark drink rim to peppermint bark-dipped ice cream cones, there’s no shortage of incredible ideas of what to do with peppermint bark.
Here are a few great ideas so you can get inspired.
1. Gingerbread House
Nothing says holiday time like a gingerbread house and @kevmasse has gone totally over-the-top with this construction. This is a gingerbread house with peppermint bark shingles and path (brilliant!). But as if that wasn’t enough, it’s sitting on a chocolate layer cake with vanilla buttercream and homemade peppermint merengue drops. Just try to top that!
2. Cake Topping
We’ve got four words for you: peppermint bark icebox cake. Instagram baker @katie_clova has topped an already stunning icebox cake with broken and crumbled peppermint bark for a stunning presentation and flavor boost.
3. Affogato
You can find peppermint lattes at any chain coffeeshop these days, and if you like that flavor combo then you’re going to go wild for this peppermint affogato from @howsweeteats. She starts with peppermint ice cream, pours over espresso, and tops it with crumbled peppermint bark. We’ll have what she’s having!
4. Drink Rim
We love frozen hot chocolate so when we saw @colljeffers holiday take on the iconic classic, we knew we had to include it. She makes frozen peppermint hot chocolate with a peppermint bark rim around the cup. With every sip, you also get a bite of peppermint bark. Now that’s genius.
5. Brownies Topping
Brownies are pretty much the perfect food on their own – chewy, fudgy, and of course chocolatey. But @kickassbaker has figured out a way to improve upon this classic treat: a triple-layer brownie extravaganza. One layer with chewy chocolate brownies, another layer akin to a peppermint patty filling, and the last a candy cane-topped chocolate ganache. Why didn’t we think of that before?
6. Donuts
For all you chocoholics out there, check out this double chocolate donut topped with peppermint bark from @thesweetandsimplekitchen. That’s a chocolate donut with chocolate glaze and chocolate-heavy peppermint bark. A match made in heaven.

Sometimes you can’t pick up on things like voice intonation or sarcasm through text message, and you can’t look at her body language when you’re talking to her over the phone.
Talking to your girlfriend face-to-face is an excellent way to gain a better understanding of her.
It looks absolutely wonderful. 👍
